Prep’n Your Groom For Your Engagement Photo Session.
This is geared to help You prep your Hubby-to-Be for your Engagement Session. A little prep goes a long way! Guys usually do not look forward to taking pictures for an hour or two. In my experience, guys are either expecting a stiff studio experience, which is not my style at all, or have no idea what to expect at all - very common. Therefore if you go through a few key pointers from me, I think we can succeed in having them enjoy your session as much as we do! It is my favorite thing to hear when the grooms enjoy their session and that “it doesn’t even feel like a photoshoot!”
Boost His Confidence
— This is not your grandma’s photo shoot in a stuffy studio. Here at Hitched Up Photography we are ALL about capturing the emotion. This is your “movie moment” & “your romantic scene.”
— Take 15 minutes + educate him about why you chose me specifically as your photographer! Tell them a little about my style of photography that I use to capture your love story. I make the session fun, like an adventure! I direct you in cute moments while you explore your surroundings and watch each other in admiration and pure love!
— Make sure you tell him how much this means to you. You are only engaged for a short period of time. You want to capture the feeling you both have right now, the anticipation before the wedding!
2. Show him examples
— He might just be expecting studio portraits. Guys who do not receive guidance beforehand aren’t expecting all the smooches and embracing I have you do. Explain to him I will have y’all interacting + having fun. There will gazing in each other’s eyes + forehead kisses, and dancing! Not to worry about the dancing part either, it is just a couple moves I coach you through! I am there to capture you both enjoying each other’s presence and the freedom to capture it ALL.
3. Reassure him you have hired a Professional!
